Be Agile. Be Flexible Empty Be Agile. Be Flexible

To all fresh graduates in Singapore be it universities or polytechnics:

2020 is going to be a super tough year for you when it comes to searching for your "dream job". Stop there!. Dream job? Don't even think about it in Year Covid19. It's all about getting a job and job experience. Delay the need to find that dream job until 2021 at the earliest time. In the meantime, you still need to get a job or occupy your time. Employers do not like to see a too long a time-gap between graduation and your first job.

Don't be too choosy with jobs. For those who can't find full-time employment, look at doing volunteer work with NGOs, contract or part-time work. Keep busy!

It helps keep your mind off the boredom or the rejections you will get. When it comes to volunteer work, don't wait for these NGOs to advertise. Coz they won't! Approach them directly. Do a google search. Use LinkedIn to find out who is the CEO or someone senior in the organization.

Finally, for those who are more innovative, look at being an entrepreneur. You can get funding from Singapore's [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] You may not be a techie. That's ok. Start networking with software developers. It's all about teamwork and pulling your expertise.
